Dawlance runs a competitive graduate intake programme. Out of it, five people are selected for the Golden Key: a PKR 200,000 voucher and a job offer on graduation. I was one of them, in which stint.

Quality control on the line

In R&D I built an automated quality-control system on a Raspberry Pi using OpenCV. It replaced a fully manual inspection process and brought inspection time from four minutes down to under thirty seconds, cutting the effort involved by around 60%.

A Jupyter notebook showing OpenCV code that segments text and scores its sharpness, with two output panels reading MultiShelf, a list of per-segment sharpness scores, and a final line reading Overall Text Clarity: Clear.
The inspection step running on a sticker image: text is segmented, each segment is scored for sharpness, and the run ends on a single clear or blurry verdict.

The hardware

AC lab data

I also rebuilt how AC lab data was extracted, pulling failure trends from three separate sources into one dashboard. That saved roughly ten hours a week and raised defect accuracy by about 25%.
